Joel Price, dressed in plain attire, is struck by a car driven by Melody Carson near a guard post while on his way to visit his grandmother. Unbeknownst to Melody, she mistakenly believes she hit a security guard and shows little concern for Joel's well-being. Meanwhile, Mary Carson, a kind-hearted individual, discovers Joel at the scene of the accident and brings him to the hospital.
